March Madness has come to an end and Villanova is this years champion. They did not have an easy opponent facing up against Michigan a great defensive and offensive team. Michigan had previously beaten Layola a team who surprised everyone since they did not have the height that other teams had. Their game was close but Michigan was able to make a great come back in the second half and were able to pull away and win. Villanova faced against Kansas a number one seed. Kansas had been dominating the competition since the start but when they played against Villanova it looked almost as if they were a whole different team. Villanova blew them out by 16 and they advanced to the Championship game.

There was a lot of hype behind Michigan saying that they were the favorites to win the game but when it came down to game, they just fell under the pressure and lost complete control of the game. During the first half of the game Michigan took the lead early and it looked almost as if it was going to continue throughout the whole game but a player who has not received the credit that he deserves brought Villanova back to their feet and gave them the lead before the half ended.

Donte DiVincenzo the player who stood up for the team when the others couldn’t. He was not a starter he was a bench player who performed better than all the other players on the court. As soon as he stepped in he court he made great plays. He was blocking shots, he was making threes from really far distances, he was doing it all. No one from Michigan was able to guard him. When they would pick him up from half court he would just call for a screen and he would shoot the ball as soon as he had enough space to pull the three. He was also attacking the rim with such explosiveness that no one was able to stop him. There has not been any scouting reports on him but after what he showed he can do that night, there will definitely be some scouting reports on him.
