The new Z model might get a NISMO edition. Nissan will work with Mercedes Benz to develop the new generation of the Z cars. The next Z models will share the same rear wheel drive train and the same engine line up and the same electric system that they will be using with the future Infiniti Q60. These NISMO models will use a modified version of the twin turbo 3.0 liter V6 found in many Infinitis but heavily upgraded to a powerful 475 horsepower and 451 lb-ft of torque. Nissan is looking to partner with Mercedes Benz to share the development and the production costs by doing this it may be the only option if Nissan wants to keep the Z brand alive considering the declining demand for such vehicles.
