The last male white rhino has died due to months of poor health. Sudan who was 45 lived in Oi Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. Due to the fact that he was old and having health issues, he was put to sleep on Monday 03/19/2018.

With his death, he leaves behind only two females: his daughter and granddaughter of their subspecies in the world. Now trying to preserve the northern white rhino lies in vitro fertilization techniques.

This death is just a cruel symbol of how humans disregard nature and animals throughout the years. Everyone that knew and got to met Sudan are deeply saddened by the news.

You might ask “why is this kind of rhino so rare?” Well it is because white rhinos consists of two subspecies, which is the southern white rhino and northern white rhino. Sudan who was 90 in human years was the last surviving male after a natural death of a second male in late 2014.
