Do you want to get your hands on a factory built drag racer from an automaker? Well your options are only limited to Dodge and Chevrolet. The Chevy COPO is design to compete in the National Hot Rod Association’s (NHRA) Stock Eliminator class. The COPO might look like a stronger version of the 2018 standard Camaro, but this Camoro has been reworked to handle repeated runs down the drag strip. The COPO has been in production since it made its debut in 2011 at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. In 2012 it was reintroduce with only 69 COPO Camaros being released every year the COPO is produce. This year the COPO will have three engine options that buyers can chose from its naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter V8 . The second option buyers get to chose its a supercharged 5.7-liter V8 from last year. The third option is a all new engine a 5.0-liter V8 built for high revs. These three engines are based on the LT1 V8 engine that are in the 2018 Camaro SS but all three engines features a shorter-stroke crankshaft among other mods that are made to the engines. What ever engine option you chose all that power is being sent through a three-speed automatic transmission before reaching the rear wheels.
