The majestic orca is an animal we all loved as kids whether you watched  the classic tale of “Free Willy” or even visiting Sea World and having the unique opportunity to see one in person. But, do you know all the facts about this beautiful animal.

 

1 . Were you aware that the Killer whales are the largest member of the dolphin family, despite their name of  “Killer whale”.

2 . Orcas live in groups called pods. Usually an orca will stay in their pods for their remainder of their lifespan.

3 . Orcas are considered one of the best routine hunters in the sea.

4 . The average lifespan in captivity averages about 17-20 years while wild orcas can live up to 30 years.
