Hueneme girls soccer played against Nordhoff High School for the first round of CIF February 15, 2018. During the first half, the Lady Vikings were down 1-0. During second half, freshman Jennifer Cruz scored a goal, assisted by Alondra Quezada in the last 10 minutes of the game. Lady Vikings and Lady Rangers both went into 20 minutes of over time (golden goal) making each half 10 minutes. After time was up in both halves, Lady vikings and Lady Rangers went into penalties. Alma, Angie, Alondra, and Isabella made their penalties. Unfortunately Abigail missed hers. Ariana Monzo (goalie) blocked 2 penalties shots, leading the Lady Vikings into victory.
