The lady Vikings played a wild card against Orcutt Academy High School for the first round of CIF Tuesday afternoon. The lady vikings had the lead of 1-0, however the lady Spartans tied during the second half, leaving the score 1-1. Coach Salazar and Alex kept reminding us during the game that “there’s still time” and “play strong”. The lady Vikings went into over time (golden goal) for a total of 20 minutes, making each half 10 minutes. The score still ended up as 1-1, leading us into penalties. Lady Vikings scored all penalties and lady Spartans only made 1, resulting in a score of 4-1.
