Why the west coast offense is the best offense

The west coast offense was originally created by Bill Walsh and brought to life by his 49ers in the 1980’s.

That was the first time we saw it really take off in the NFL and now…years later many teams adopted the offense and put their own little touch on it. The whole point of the west coast offense is to throw the ball short to set up the run for the running back. Originally, the back simply ran the ball, but some coaches prefer their backs to play as a receiver out of the back field and thus you get players such as Lesean Mccoy and Jamaal Charles. Both of these guys fit well in this offense after you throw the ball short to mid range down the field just hand of to these speedy guys and watch em run.

My strongest evidence for this is claim is the the offense of the Los Angeles Rams led by Todd Gurley II. They threw the ball down the field to open up space for todd gurley to work, he also was not a bad receiver as he caught many passes for touchdowns.
