The Jaguar F-Type Gets A Four-Cylinder Engine for 2018

Jaguar announced at the New York International Auto Show that there will be a 2018 mid-year refresh for the F-TYPE coupe sport. No more than gust a few cosmetic changes not much has changed on the out side of this F-TYPE. But there is one big change that Jaguar is doing on this F-TYPE. Jaguar will now offer a four-cylinder engine on the F-TYPE. For this 2018 Jaguar F-TYPE Jaguar will offer six different engine that buyers can chose from. The base model will keep its 340 horsepower supercharged V6. The second option is a the 3.0 L V-6 that puts out 380-horsepower. The third option is a 3.0 L supercharged V6 that puts out 400 horsepower on the F-TYPE S. Your forth option is a 5.0 L V-8 with 550-horsepower on the  F-TYPE R. Your fifth option of a engine is the 5.0 L  supercharged V-8 putting out 575 horsepower making this the fasts F-TYPE called the SVR. Finally the new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine unit making 296 horsepower. The new four-cylinder F-TYPE will only be available with an 8-speed automatic transmission no manual transmission will be available for this F-TYPE.
