I know that seven days in a week is not enough for her because her week is always busy; whether it’s working, helping out at the church, or spending time being with me. She’s an amazing person!

How would you describe yourself?

A: “I would describe myself as outgoing, caring, kind, fun, busy and determined.”

What are your three best qualities?

A: “Well……… I could say I am well organized, I am always positive, and I am pretty good at managing my time.”

What activities do you participate in school?

A: “Some activities I participate in are Cross Country, Track, Mecha, Kiwins, and the Spirit Club.”

What made you join Cross Country/Track?

A: “Honestly, it started out with a simple challenge that one of my closest friends and I had. He thought I couldn’t do it and well that was my motivation for the whole season. I ended up liking it and, well, I decided to stay…. and for Track, I was like ‘Why not? Let me try it!'”

What activities do you do in our community?

A: “Oh gosh, what don’t I do? I am in 3 choirs at the church, I dance folklorico, and I help on Saturdays teaching at my church.”

How long have you been singing at the church?

A: “I have been singing since I was 9 years old, so in total, it’s been 8 years of singing.”

What is your definition of love?

A: “My definition of love for me is having huge affection towards a certain person or persons. It is something that takes time to grow and to forget.”

Do you think it’s okay to lie to protect someone’s feelings?

A: “Wow, this question is hard… Well, it all depends. Would you rather want to be the person who tells them the truth and hurts them or the one who lies to them and just waits for them to figure it out?”

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

A: “Hmmmmm…. tengo muchas…. let me see. When I was the only child, we would go everywhere, but sometimes it would just be with my mom. So we would go shopping and stuff, but we would take the bus due to the lack of transportation in my family. So those memories of riding the bus with my mom were always the best, and well right now, my younger sibling didn’t have the opportunity to experience those adventures my mom and I had.”

What type of music do you listen to?

A: “I listen to Spanish music. I never really liked pop music or that. I grew up in a traditional Mexican household, so everything I heard was in Spanish.”

What holiday is your favorite?

A: “My favorite holiday is Christmas because I see everybody in December. I have so many events and activities that month and it’s exciting just doing them.”

Who are you closest to in your family?

A: “My Mom for sure.”

Who has been your favorite teacher (if you have any)?

A: “Mr. Zamora because he was always behind my back, and it resulted in me improving my grades.”

What’s the best memory you have of this year?

A: “Everything, even if there was a lot of homework, but yeah this year has been the best.”

What do you look forward to in the future?

A: “Graduation.”
